Singer Frank Ocean’s alleged beef with another singer Chris Brown over a parking space has apparently escalated to a family matter. It has been reported that a cousin of Frank Ocean is suing Brown, claiming he ended up with a lot of collateral damage during the alleged scuffle the singers had over a studio parking space back in January.
After the incident, Ocean had claimed to have suffered from a cut finger and for a time, Brown could be seen sporting a cast on his hand. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department investigated the incident and at the time no charges were filed.
In the lawsuit filed today, Sha’keir Duarte claims that a guy who was with Brown that he identified as “Hood” , approached him and asked him, “Is there a problem, cuz?” and then punched him after Ocean had asked Brown if he had parked in his spot outside of an L.A. studio.
Duarte further explains in his complaint that “Hood” then “commenced to beat and kick him about the head as he lay on the ground ,” it was ultimately stated that he was kicked “at least twelve” times.
Duarte is asking for at least $25,000 for damages for all of the following: alleging battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and conspiracy to commit battery.
Since then a rep for Brown told TMZ, “Chris Brown does not employ anyone named Hood.”
The Grammy winners were known to have had their differences, voiced mainly via Twitter, though traces of their feud had long since been deleted and thought to have died down.
