Let’s be real.
A lot of people are itching to see Spider-Man kick some ass alongside the likes of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, or even the X-Men. However, it doesn’t look like that’s happening anytime soon.
Anyways, instead of taking that route, it appears that Sony is attempting to lay the foundation for Peter Parker/Spider-Man to eventually go toe-to-toe with a whole group of super-powered villains known as Sinister Six.
Eight recently-released AMS 2 images and production stills tease a couple of interesting things in regards to multiple villains that are set to appear in the sequel—i.e. Paul Giamatti‘s Rhino and Jamie Foxx’s Electro. There’s even an obvious to the Sinister 6 nod below.
Here are the photos:
Just so you know, the Sinister Six happens to be an iconic compilation of Spider-Man villains that has included Doc Ock, Electro, Green Goblin, Lizard, Rhino, Vulture and various others. Separately, they usually aren’t too much of a threat, but together?
Man. That sh*t can be serious.
Think of a f*cked up version of The Avengers.
This would definitely be interesting to see on-screen. Aside from the Joker in The Dark Knight and Loki of Thor and The Avengers fame, (to some extent), I think that we have yet to see a legitimate, villainous threat and a possible Sinister Six team-up might bring that forth.
I mean, they have The Amazing Spider-Man 4 release date locked down already, (May 4, 2018). So, anything can happy at this point.
