Apparently, the haircutting bug has bitten Alicia Keys again…this time in the wake that I would like to call the “Beyonce’ Hairgate”. Alicia has seemingly taken a page from Queen Bee’s hair catalogue and recently debuted it on Friday morning. It was Alicia Keys’ new ‘do that made the loudest statement as she performed with Maxwell on ABC’s Good Morning America Concert Series in New York City’s Rumsey playfield.
.
Going for a bolder look, the Girl On Fire singer bared her midriff in a cut-out black blouse with sheer fabric covering her toned tummy. The entertainer teamed the revealing shirt with a pair of tight, hot pink high-waisted trousers. To complete her look, the Grammy award-winner donned dangling cross earrings and sported a pair of black, peep-toe heels.
Opinion Time: Her cut doesn’t really fit her face. The blunt cut of the bangs brings unnecessary attention to her strong jaw. It, speaking frankly, is sort of reminiscent of the entire Beatles crew. Then, there is the way it was styled. I’m not really sure if its the texture of her hair throwing it off or just the product used on it, but it makes her hair look overly greasy. Her outfit, however, is an entirely different subject all together and I simply refuse to go into all of the things wrong with those pants.
Upside:
Alicia took a few minutes after the performance for an interview with GMA. Since she had recently celebrated her third anniversary to Swizz Beatz, Alicia was asked if she ‘feels like she is settling into old married life now.’
Her answer was, ‘It’s hot. It’s fiery,’ Alicia gushed, adding that her song Fire We Make was, in fact, inspired by her marriage.
That looks like a rachet ass bowl cut gone wrong. Why did she do this to herself?
