Anyways, Odom is finally seeking help.
E! News has reported that Odom checked into rehab recently in light of last week’s DUI charge. A court date has been set for September 27, but Odom is not obliged to appear alongside his attorney, since the charges are misdemeanors. Here’s what L.A. criminal defense attorney, Troy Slaten, had to say to E! News about the matter last week (Slaten isn’t associated with Odom’s case):
“It only looks good for him to seek treatment.” He later mentioned that he would recommend the same to any one of his clients if they were in the same situation. “It looks like your addressing [the issue] before the court, before you are being forced to. It looks good to do it on your own.”
Spoken like a man of the law.
Moving on, I hope Lamar gets the help he needs, so that he can move on from all of this. Everyone makes mistakes, but what makes the difference is how we deal with them.
