Tom Hiddleston Replaces Benedict Cumberbatch in ‘Crimson Peak’

I called it.

Well, more like Screen Rant called it, but you get the picture.

Anyways, Screen Crush and THR recently reported that Tom Hiddleston has assumed Benedict Cumberbatch‘s recently vacated role in Guillermo del Toro‘s Crimson Peak.

Congrats, Hiddlestoners.

The film is expected to start shooting in January 2014. However, no one really knows much about the plot except the fact that del Toro himself mentioned the film being set “at the turn of the century”. He also referred to it as “a gothic romance with ghosts”.

Hmm.

I can get behind that.

Hiddleston is also set to join already recruited stars Charlie Hunnam (recently cast as Christian Grey), Jessica Chastain (The Help, Zero Dark Thirty), and Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland, Lawless). Hiddleston’s other upcoming projects include playing Captain Hook in Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy and appearing in Muppets Most Wanted.

In short, Tom isn’t going anywhere.

Indeed he has.
