‘American Psycho’ TV Series Coming to FX

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Well, I guess the amoral at heart need some other fix since Dexter and Breaking Bad will soon be going off air, right?

Moving on, FX is looking to fill that fix by adapting American Psycho into a TV series.

Sources like Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that the TV series will be picking up years later and featuring the famously murderous exec Patrick Bateman (who was previously portrayed as Christian Bale) who is now in his mid-50s. Regardless of this fact, Bateman wants the madness to continue and seeks to take on a protege/apprentice that will carry on his legacy and “create a next generation of American Psycho” (The Hollywood Reporter).

And just in case you were that one person hoping that Bale might make an appearance of some sort, let me just say that I seriously doubt that happening.

I’m that asshole.

Moving on, even though I’m still scratching my head slightly at such news, it appears (at least by theory) that such a TV series could possibly do well, if Hannibal and Bates Motel are any indication.

But, I want to hear from you. What do you think about American Psycho being adapted for television? Let me know in the comments below!
