First of all, please enjoy the following GIFs that illustrate how I am feeling at the moment:
Whether you like it or not.
Moving on, Deadline first reported that the spinoff series, which is tentatively titled Better Call Saul, has been given the go-ahead at AMC and it will serve as a prequel to the story of Breaking Bad protagonist, Walter White. Right now, everyone is scrambling to get a hold of the rights to the upcoming show (Netflix in particular).
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan previously chatted about how a Saul series might go, though he was initially on the fence about whether it’d be an hour-long or not:
“As you can imagine with Saul Goodman as a character, a show like that would have to have plenty of humor to it. But also because he works for some pretty scary clientele sometimes, there’d be a bit of drama in it as well. We’re trying to nail that down. As of yet, we haven’t completely figured that out ourselves” (Screen Crush).
I’m not a super fan; so, I may be being an asshole as usual when I say that this show is unnecessary.
But, I want to hear from you guys! Are you excited about such news or do you think the series might be unnecessary like I do? Let me know in the comments below!
