Jamie Foxx Confirms Sinister Six Team-Up Talks

If you’ve been keeping up with recent, Spidey-related news, you know that more than a handful of villains are set to at least appear in some sort of capacity in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Here’s a quick shortlist of who we’ll be seeing:

-Electro (as played by Jamie Foxx)

-The Rhino (as played by Paul Giamatti)

-A pre-Green Goblin Norman Osborn (as played by Chris Cooper)

-Some unknown guy (as played by Colm Feore, who, if your remember, played Laufey in Thor).

-Some unknown girl (as played by Felicity Jones)

-The bound-to-go bad Harry Osborn (as played by Dane DeHaan)

I know you’re probably having flashbacks of the utter f*ckery that was Spider-Man 3 and its many villains. However, From the looks of it, it seems that most of these villains will only be teased while Foxx’s Electro will be the main baddie.

Movie on, Jamie Foxx (and his White House Down costar, Channing Tatum) recently sat down with Total Film and explained that there has definitely been talk of Sinister Six team-up.

They’ve actually talked about doing the Sinister Six, so fingers crossed.” He said.

Good thing that Sony and director Marc Webb don’t operate under the same code of silence that Marvel Studios, or else I would’ve expected Jamie Foxx to be dragged out of this interview immediately.

Damn, Marvel o.O!

Moving on, this definitely hasn’t been the first time that there has been inklings about it. On top of a previous post I wrote, which included a photographic tease of the subject, Giamatti recently talked to MTV and commented that “I believe there’s a lot of stage-setting for the next film. There are several villains in this movie and some of them are more foreground and important…A couple of us are more hanging around the background because I think there will be a bigger deal.”

Chris Cooper definitely didn’t deviate from that “bigger deal” talk when he spoke with Access Hollywood: ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ “is an introduction to Norman Osborn, and, apparently, this leads to better things in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 3.’”

Anyways, if you want to hear more about what Foxx had to say about the movie, you can view the interview below:
