‘Fast and Furious 7’ Recruits Franchise Vet Lucas Black

Though I’m super pumped for Fast and Furious 7, these updates might actually be the death of me.

Yeah. No kidding.

Moving on, Lucas Black has recently been tapped to return to the long-running franchise as character Sean Boswell.

If Fast and Furious fans remember correctly, Black appeared in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift back in ’06, alongside Sun Kang (who played Han Lue). As most of you know Kang (SPOILER ALERT) died in Tokyo Drift, but then subsequently returned for Fast and Furious 4-6 and his death was finally addressed at the end of six. Now that the timeline for the franchise is officially fixed, Black can assume his role as Sean Boswell once again.

To be honest, I was one of those people who were all like “WTF” when the timeline got all weird and nonsensical. However, I’m glad Universal recognized their f*ck up and fixed it accordingly (props also goes to director Justin Lin).

Which is more than I can say for Fox’s current X-Men franchise.

I am still that asshole.

On top of such news, Deadline also reported that Black will not only be back for the seventh movie, but he has also signed on to appear in the next three sequels, which definitely confirms Vin Diesel’s recent dish about an eight movie.

I’m calling it right now.

Fast and Furious 25.

Everyone will be old as f*ck, but it’ll still be fun.

(I kid, I kid).

Black is just the latest addition to a cast that now includes franchise leads like Vin Diesel, The Rock, and Paul Walker and new additions like Jason Statham, Tony Jaa, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Djimon Hounsou.

As always, I will keep you guys updated.

Even if it kills me.

I’m cool though. I’m cool.
