It’s been a minute (and by minute, I really mean like over two weeks), since I last updated you on Hayo Miyazaki’s last project The Wind Rises. Though I am still terribly sad that the legendary animator is still retiring, I am happy to announce that his final project finally has a US release date.

Go ahead and get excited. You know you want to.
Disney and company has slated the film for a February 28, 2014 official release date and plans to allow the film to enter a limited release the week before (on February 21, 2014). To make sure The Wind Rises is also able to contend at the Oscars, The Wind Rises will also be showing in locations like New York and Los Angeles from November 8th to November 14th.
Mark your calendars!
