Dylan Neal Cast as Dr. Anthony Ivo in ‘Arrow’: Season 2

Even though some Arrow fans may still be coming to terms with Grant Gustin being cast as The Flash, it seems that the CW has no plans to slow down any additions to the growing cast.

In that same vein, Screen Crush recently reported that Dylan Neal (Dawson’s Creek, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief) is joining Arrow for its upcoming second season. Neal will apparently be playing the not-to-be-f*cked with DC villain Dr. Anthony Ivo. Neal has a plethora of film and TV credits under his belt and previously appeared on Smallville as Metropolis DA Ray Sacks; so he is no stranger to the CW.

DC fans will recognize Dr. Anthony Ivo as the very creator of the deadly (and power-copying) “Amazo” android. Ivo also is a threat all by himself and is slightly obsessed with conquering death (even though he is exceedingly fearful of it).

Ivo will be making various appearances in Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) island-related flashbacks. He will be portrayed as a “brutal but ruthless scientist who will stop at nothing to unearth a breakthrough that dates back to the latter days of World War II” (Screen Crush). Expect to see Ivo starting at episode 5 (which is entitled “League of Assassins”). Starting with that episode, a four-episode arc will follow and you can probably expect to still see more of the character after that.

Stay tuned, people.

(Arrow returns October 9 on the CW).
