Michael Bay Unveils Official Set Photo For ‘Transformers 4’; Reveals (Human) Cast

Whether you asked for it or not, there is in fact another Transformers movie on the way. Entitled Transformers: Age of Extinction, the film will be placed in the very same universe as the previous Transformers sequels, but as most of us already know, will be featuring a completely new group of humans.

*SIGH*

I wish they would just focus on the damn robots/Transformers themselves.

Moving on, Michael Bay recently utilized Twitter to give Transformers fans a peek at the new (human) members of the cast. Such members include franchise newbies Nicola Pelt (Bates Motel), Jack Reynor (Dollhouse), and Mark Wahlberg (2 Guns). Mark Wahlberg will reportedly be playing a character called Flynn Vincent, who happens to be a gear-head inventor. Pelt and Reynor will be playing his teenage daughter and her boyfriend (in that order).

The Twitter pic in question shows Walhberg and company standing in front of a gas station that nearly screams ghosttown. Make of it what you will:

In addition to the aforementioned individuals, Transformers: Age of Extinction has already seen the addition of some talented actors such as Kelsey Grammer (X-Men: The Last Stand, The Expendables 3) and Stanley Tucci (Easy A, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and will most likely be including the likes of Dinobots. Because of this, Transformers fans should be a little optimistic about this movie. Right now, it stands to be worlds better than Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Well, at least inherently, anyways.

Let’s cross our fingers, folks.

(Transformers: Age of Extinction will be crash-landing into theaters June 27, 2014).
