Up until now, the only concrete things most of us know about this movie is the fact that it will be debuting in March 2015, it’ll be directed by Josh Trank, and that Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, and a couple of others were apparently rumored to be up for roles in the film.
Other than that, there has been total silence when it comes to this film.
Until now, of course.
Recently, THR reported that screenwriter Simon Kinberg (X-Men: DOFP) had been recruited to rewrite the script for the upcoming reboot. Apparently, he’ll have been not the first, but the fifth person to do so (he’ll be joining a long list that includes the likes of writers Jeremy Slater, Michael Green, Seth Grahame-Smith, and T.S. Nowlin [most likely in that order].
I guess since Fox is being so picky when it comes to the script, maybe that’s a sign that they are trying to be extra careful with their superhero movies now?

I wholeheartedly agree.
Moving on, this isn’t the first Fox/superhero-related project that Kinsberg has worked on. In addition to X-Men: DOFP, he previously helped with X-Men: The Last Stand (He loses cool points for that) and X-Men: First Class (Okay, so he gained most of them back). So, I’m pretty sure we’ll definitely be seeing more of him as it relates to Fox’s Cinematic Universe in the future.
Other than that, filming for the movie has apparently been moved from Canada to Louisiana and was supposed to begin last month, but since re-writes are still happening, I think it’s safe to say that filming may be pushed back a little.
We’ll update you when we know more.
(The Fantastic Four reboot will (apparently) be hitting theaters March 6, 2015).
