Well then.

Yeah it is.
By now, you probably have caught wind of all the hub bub around Charlie Hunnam‘s exit from the upcoming Fifty Shade of Grey film.
To be honest, I wasn’t all that surprised to hear about his departure, especially in light of fan outrage, a very unnecessary petition, and costar Dakota Johnson having trouble adjusting to the fame herself.
However, since this is Hollywood business and all, the show must go on. And in that same vein, a couple of frontrunners for the role of Christian Grey recently emerged (according to THR). In addition to adding screenwriter Patrick Marber to the project, some names that have been tossed around for the lead role include Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood; aka the dude who almost played Thor), Jamie Dornan (The Fall), Theo James (Divergent), and Christian Cooke (Romeo and Juliet).
Call me crazy (and let’s say that I’m hypothetically going to give a f*ck for like thirty seconds), but aside from Skarsgård, the rest of these guys are still slightly unknown; so I’m not exactly sure where Universal is going with this.
On top of that, I’m pretty sure Fifty Shades fans are still gunning for people like Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder, but let’s be real, what are the chances of them being cast?

I’ll wait.
As always, we’ll update you as soon as we know more.
(Fifty Shades of Grey will be hitting theaters on August 1, 2014).
