It’s almost November 22 and this movie will no doubt be one of the highlights of the month.
A new Hunger Games: Catching Fire TV Spot has been released, courtesy to Wal-Mart (Thank you Wal-Mart and I shall take back half of the horrible things I have ever said about you), and it features the new song “Atlas” by Coldplay.
The teaser finds Jennifer Lawrence reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen as she embarks on her victory tour with Josh Hutcherson‘s Peeta Mellark after the two broke the rules and won the last Hunger Games. With their act of defiance having inspired rebellion within the districts, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) concocts a plan to eliminate them once and for all by having them compete in the Quarter Quell, a version of the games that takes place every 25 years.
Of course anyone who has read the books or just know about the series will know that the stakes are higher than ever as Katniss returns to the arena to face veterans of prior games, where she must once again rely on her wits and survival skills if she and Peeta are to stay alive.
The video also shows quick glimpses of fellow cast members Liam Hemsworth as Katniss’ best friend Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelseon as her mentor Hamisch, Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna and Stanley Tucci as Caesar Flickerman.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters Nov. 22.
