The release of COD: Ghosts is tomorrow and so I thought this post was fitting.
In the 10th and most recent installment in the first-person shooter franchise, the story revolves around a retired army captain (voiced by Avatar‘s Stephen Lang) who leads the Ghosts, a clandestine Specials Ops unit, behind enemy lines in a post-superpower America partially destroyed by a superweapon taken over by the villainous “Federation.”
The teaser dubbed “Epic Night Out” is set to Frank Sinatra’s classic “I’m Gonna Live Till I Die,” and directed by James Mangold, who also directed The Wolverine and Walk the Line (Heads up: it did not end up the way The Wolverine did).
Transformers star, Megan Fox, makes a brief appearance in the live-action trailer for the highly anticipated video game Call of Duty: Ghosts, and I’d say she’s nowhere near gun-shy.
It follows four buddies who embark on an action-packed adventure through a decimated semi-futuristic Las Vegas. And they are, of course, armed to the teeth with all kinds of heavy weaponry, the group evades a helicopter gunship, then race their way through a casino while being chased by a hit squad.
After blowing a hole through the side of the building, they escape to a rooftop where they encounter a calm and collected Fox as she reloads a high-powered rifle and saves one of them by shooting down a nasty-looking drone.
Fox is the latest celeb to cameo in a Call of Duty trailer following such stars as Robert Downey Jr., Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington. Eminem also contributed a new anthem, his song “Survival,” to the game, as well.
The Hangover-esque live-action clip and Activision’s recruitment of the 27-year-old actress is undoubtedly a surefire way to get its male fan base excited.
Not to mention the fact that Ghosts marks the first time gamers can play a female soldier in the multiplayer mode.
I am especially happy about this. You have no idea how strange it is to be a level-72 veteran and be forced to play with a male character as though girls don’t play the game. I’m just glad to be able to pick a female character. I just wanted wanted a choice for everybody!
Took a look!
Call of Duty: Ghosts hits stores worldwide on Nov. 5 and will be available for PlayStation 3 and 4, Wii U, Xbox 260 and Xbox One among other consoles.
