The CW Reveals First Look at Deathstroke 2.0 and Nyssa Al Ghul

It is no secret that I am quite into (read: obsessed) with the Arrow. So, one could only imagine my excitement when I found out that Nyssa al Ghul would be making an appearance soon.

I’m not even ready for this right now.

However, before we get to that, let me just celebrate the fact that tonight, Arrow’s “Tremors” will be paying homage to DC history as Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is set to begin training Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) as his sidekick partner-in-crime. But even then, the best is yet to come, especially as it relates to DC big bad, Nyssa al Ghul. al Ghul will be portrayed by Katrina Law, who—surprise!—is also from Spartacus.

Jesus Christ. Does everyone on Spartacus have a contract with The CW?!

According to IGN and Screen Crush, al Ghul won’t be making an appearance until February 5th’s episode, “Heir to the Demon”. al Ghul travels all the way to Starling City in search of Black Canary (no doubt because the “League of Assassins” are looking for her ass). Granted, no one knows whether Nyssa will be portrayed as Talia’s half-sister as she is in the comics. Regardless, I’m happy to have an al Ghul present.

Although, if this al Ghul were to make an appearance, I think I’d be good.

On top of that, Arrow’s Andy Poon (illustrator) and Maya Mani (costume designer), recently revealed some new concept art for Slade aka Deathstroke (who is portrayed by Manu Bennett). The costume is definitely reminiscent of Deathstroke’s past costume in the comics and even employs a couple of fantastical aspects from its source material as well.

Anyways, don’t forget to check our Arrow’s new episode, “Tremors”, tonight on The CW. And while you’re at it, feel free to check out pictures of Nyssa al Ghul and Deathstroke below:
