Check Out This New Music: Faith Evans, Jeremih, and More

How’s it going, lovers of the Zoo? As you know, me and the other zookeepers have been trying to get back on our grind recently (and consistently). In that same vein, I’m going to add to the onslaught of new posts by pointing you guys in the direction of some new music.

So, without further ado, check out this new music:

Faith Evans is back and better than ever with “I Deserve It”

And that’s not all either. The R&B, Grammy Award-Winning Singer signed off on a publishing and artist deal between BMG Chrysalis U.S and herself. The company will be helping her gear up for her first album in years (four to be exact). The upcoming title has been branded with the name Incomparable and should be hitting a store near you this fall.

I, myself, am pretty excited about this, seeing as Evans has continued to build upon a prolific career in the music industry. Not only has she been on her music grind for over twenty years, but she also happens to be a New York Times best-selling author and a TV producer.

The woman succeeds at everything she decides to take up, simply put.

Go ahead, Faith.

“I Deserve It” is a new single from her upcoming album, Incomparable and features the likes of Missy Elliott (Music has missed you; it has been too long) and Sharaya J.

You can hear the infectious (and empowering) tune for yourself below:

Jeremih has released his new EP No More

Jeremih got a lot of people hyped up when he and Shlohmo remixed his song “Fuck U All The Time” last year. And because of that, people have been waiting for more projects from the two.

Well…the time has finally come.

I mean, that’s not what I meant, but okay. As long as I get to be the Red Ranger, we’ll be good.

Jeremih and Shlohmo recently released the much anticipated EP “No More” this past Thursday (his birthday). The EP includes six tracks and features Chance the Rapper on the closing track.

Romeo Testa releases the acoustic version of “Still Misunderstood”

Maybe it’s just me, but I can appreciate a good acoustic version of a song. There is just something very personal, intimate, and sincere about it.

Moving on, singer Roméo Testa recently debuted the acoustic version of his song “Still Misunderstood”. The song was originally featured his EP The End—which was released last year.

Testa had this to say about the new track:

“‘Still Misunderstood’ is one of the most personal songs I’ve ever written. It’s for the people who have been bullied or made to feel like an outcast. It’s to let people know that there are other people who can relate and understand their struggles” (Billboard).

You can check out the track in the video below:

Like it? Want to compare it to its’ previous version? You can go ahead and do so below. Check out Testa’s EP The End:
