Gaga’s former right-hand woman, Jennifer O’Neill, recently signed a deal with Atria Books. O’Neill plans to write a tell-all book about Lady Gaga and what she experienced working under the pop singer.
According to Billboard and THR, O’Neill was employed by Mother Monster from 2009-2011 (this took place during her famous Monster Ball tour). Near the end of 2011, O’Neill took Lady Gaga to court over the issue of 393,000 dollars (that is a lot of money) in overtime back pay. Some things she complained about during the court case include having to share a bed with Gaga and being forced to wake up in the middle of the night in order to change a DVD out of a DVD player.
Gaga was obviously not happy about being sued and in a deposition for the case, she called O’Neill “a fucking hood rat who is suing me for money she didn’t earn” (Billboard).
Those are some pointed ass words.
And even though the case was settle out of court in October 2013, it appears that O’Neill is not done yet. According to Page Six and The Mirror, O’Neill’s book deal has the potential to be worth around $1 million dollars.
We’ll update this story if we find out more.
