After eight years of waiting, Gwen Stefani’s new single, “Baby Don’t Lie”, has arrived overnight. Apparently, we ill have to wait until Monday night’s edition of The Voice for a glimpse of the music video. It’s likely she’ll perform “Baby Don’t Lie” on The Voice later in the season. Another great reason to tune in.
Stefani’s new song, which was released digitally through Mad Love/Interscope Records and was co-written with its producers Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder and Noel Zancanella, is the first of her new solo work since her sophomore album Sweet Escape hit No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 way back in 2006.
Stefani’s manager, Irving Azoff, recently revealed that the singer has been in Miami recording new tracks with frequent collaborator and fellow newbie Voice co-star Pharrell Williams. John Janick, a chairman at Interscope Records, has revealed to Billboard that she’s aiming for a December release date on a solo album.
And fret not No Doubt fans, sources say the busy star has also been simultaneously working on material for a new No Doubt record, the follow-up to 2012’s Push and Shove.
